ABOUT US

The Four Original Brothers, commonly referred to as the “Fab Fore” came up with the concept of a golf get together (tournament) for other Caribbean/ West Indian Golfers in and around the Durham, Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton Regions.

The idea was for each of the “Fab Fore” to invite 2-3 other “brothers” to participate in friendly but competitive game of golf. We would then return to a designated home after golf for a planned evening of Golf Stories and Awards and a BBQ with our respective families.

In 2003, our inaugural year, we have seen our tournament participation grown from 18 golfers to record breaking numbers over the past several years. We are now attracting in excess of between 80-100 golfers for each of our 4 major Golf Tournaments.

What started out as a Caribbean based golfing network quickly blossomed to encompass many other countries from around the world. While the majority of our golfing associates still hail from all parts for the Caribbean we are delighted to have other parts of the world representing:

(South America, Africa, France, Great Britain, Bermuda, Greece, U.S.A., Asia, Sweden, Singapore, and Australia)

We kept the name “Brothers” for the past few years because we are all golfing brothers united in one common goal: “Getting that silly little ball into that silly little hole”.

Although our tournament name has the word “Brothers” in it, this by no way mean that the “fairer sex” have taken a back seat and watched from the sidelines. We now have several Lady Golfers representing. In fact, the summer of 2010 will see the conception of our…

G.O.L.F (Gals Only Lads Forbidden) Tournament (Ladies, stay tuned for more details on this tournament in the coming Spring months.

The summer of 2006, during the months of May, June and July, we saw the genesis of our own version of the PGA Majors (The TRINI OPEN, The BAJAN OPEN and the JAMMY OPEN). We crowned our first 3 MAJOR Champions in 2006. Be sure to check our Brothers' 19th Hole Wall of Fame for the names of all our past Champions

In the month of August, we saw the tradition continue with our 7^th Annual Brothers’ Invitational and Family BBQ / Silent Auction for Camp Jumoke. Make a point to read "The Almost Final Chapter-The 2009 Brothers Invitational Tournament/Family BBQ" to see who was crowned Grand Champion.

Finally, we ended our golfing season with the Grand Finale. In what has become quite the rivalry, The B*RYDER CUP pitted golfers from the EAST against golfers from the WEST in this the 5th Annual late summer classic.

To Attract Those Good-Natured Hackers Who Strive To Play This Silly Game Where It Does Not Matter Whether One Win or Lose, but can Appreciate the Friendship and Fellowship, "Charity" and FUN we all Share in the True Spirit of Coming Together.
