OBJECTIVE: 1. Primary focus is to continually promote golf amongst members of the Caribbean Community as well as other members from around the world in a competitive environment, where the friendship and fellowship and the true spirit of competition prevails.
2. Raise the AWARENESS and $$$ for a worthy charity (Camp Jumoke…Nigerian word for “Everyone Loves The Child.”)….Summer camp for kids w/Sickle Cell Anemia (CSA). I encourage each and everyone of you reading this to visit their website www.jumoke.org
WHY THE MAJORS Golf is being played at many times by many of our group throughout the summer. The MAJORS provides all of us an opportunity to come together in the spirit of friendship and competition once a month.
WHY THE TRINI/ We unscientifically and simply looked at where the
BAJAN/JAMMY majority (92%) of our golfing community migrated from. Trinidad/Barbados/Jamaica….(besides, the Masters, The U.S. Open and the British Open were already taken…)
HOW IT WORKS
All Golfers are urged to compete in all 3 MAJORS where points are awarded for just playing in all 3 MAJORS
There are several ways to accumulate points. Placing in the Top 20 will get you points. You will also receive points for scoring…..details on the Peoria Handicap system will be available on the Major Score Sheet. Points are cumulative for all 3 MAJORS. Each MAJOR will have a Grand CHAMPION and a Low Handicap Winner, but the goal is to accumulate as many points as possible to claim the PURSE ($$$).
THE PURSE: An ENTRY FEE of $20.00 for each tournament is required. At the end of the JAMMY OPEN (end of July), we will tally all the points earned from the 3 MAJORS and we award the PURSE ($$)
PLEASE NOTE: 70% OF ALL ENTRY FEES WILL GO TOWARDS CAMP
JUMOKE (minus expenses)…..THE REMAINDING 30% WILL BE
DISTRIBUTED AMONG THE TOP 5 GOLFERS WITH THE
HIGHEST POINTS TOTAL FROM THE 3 MAJORS.

The more golfers we have out golfing for all 4 Tournaments, the more $$$$$$$$$$$$ we can donate and the more kids we can send to camp each summer. Please come out and golf with us, no matter what your skill level is…..just remember who the big WINNERS are:
