A very warm Autumn greeting to all of you out there on this the official first day of Fall. Here’s hoping that you and your respective families are in the best of health as we say goodbye to another wonderful season of golfing together in the Brothers’ Golf Tournaments.
A season that saw us crowned another distinguished group of CHAMPIONS in our 4 Grand Tournaments (The 5th Annual TRINI OPEN-Michael Brooks, Michael Carter, Ricky Rodriguez), The 5th Annual BAJAN OPEN-Arnold Johnson, Mike Evans, Mark Jackman and the quartet for best dressed team, Sherman Moore, Carl Thompson, Andrew Alleyne and Alister Rice), The 5th Annual JAMMY OPEN-Robert Sterling, Stephen Henry and Alister Rice) and finally the 8th Annual Invitational/Family BBQ -Champion, Wentworth Willock.
We cannot forget the playing of our Inaugural G.O.L.F. Tournament (Gals Only Lads Forbidden) that was a tremendous hit with our lady Golfers…..for our inaugural ladies only tournament, we attracted 23 wannabe hackers who emerged themselves in the sport and are now all huge supporters of the Brothers’ Tournament and cannot wait until next spring for the playing of 2nd Annual G.O.L.F. Tournament.
As you know, we just concluded our golfing season this past Sunday with the staging of our 6th Annual B*RYDER CUP competition. This annual rivalry, The Showdown in the North was being played out on one of the last days of summer and our 36 golfing gladiators were all in fine competitive form. There was truly a competitive atmosphere in the air as both teams wearing their respective colours (red and black) http://s40.photobucket.com/albums/e210/Richd1/Brothers%202010%20BRyder%20cup/ took to the course. Friendships were all put aside on this day as the competitive desires took over as each participant was determined to do their very best to win that (1) point for their respective team.
So Ladies and Gentlemen, golfers and non golfers, followers and readers of the Brothers’ Golf Tournaments, it is with great pleasure to once again present to you the 2010 B*RYDER CUP CHAMPIONS:

Well my golfing and non golfing friends, the time has come to officially close the book on what has been another successful golfing season (our 8th). Let me first say a big thanks to all our golfers out there…whether you have golfed in every tournament this summer or just the one. Thanks for contributing to the children of Camp Jumoke (summer camp for children living with sickle cell) and raising the awareness of sickle cell within the community. For those of you whom we did not see this summer, or for the past few summers, we hope your schedule allows you a moment or two in 2011 to come out and golf with us…..
Finally, as we prepare to “shut the presses down” for the season, it truly has been a pleasure in getting to know each and every one of you whether it is at the golf course or just thorough emails. I do hope you continue to cherish and appreciate the friendships made through this silly sport we called golf. Be sure to check out our website over the winter as we will be updating our venues for next season as well as upgrading each page with new and exciting news.
Once again folks, it has been a pleasure…..take care of yourself, each other and your respective families over the coming cold winter month and I hope to see/hear you all back here next spring…God willing….
As Always, With Much Respect and Appreciation.
